Bind off 5 k sts & lift the last st of the right hand needle back on to the left one.

Go through that and another st and ...

... k them tog.

Finish the cable pattern with a p1.

Continue working flat, knitting a total of 4 rows in the established pattern. Finish with a WS row.

Go through the same cross strand to repeat for another M1R.

And one last time for another M1R.

You increased 3 k sts: M3R.

There is still 1 k st left on the needle. The cable pattern is now joined again. K1 ...

Now increase 3 left slanting k sts from the horizontal strand again: M3L.

Finish the cable st sequence with a p1 and then continue to follow your established rib pattern. There are 10 sts of the cable pattern on the needle again. Continue in row 8 of the cable pattern diagram and return to the instructions.

In the next RS row k as established until you reach the cable stitch pattern and p1.

Then increase 3 right slanting k sts: M3R. To do this, go into the horizontal strand for a M1R and k1.

... and k the first st of the second half of the cable stitch pattern.
