I-Cord Tie
Another category of I-cord knitting is the I-Cord tie. This is a small number of stitches, which are all knitted. However, the work is not turned as usual when working flat, but always knitted from the same side. This creates a small circular knitted tube, which is ideal for use as a strap or thin ties.
The technique is suitable for a maximum of 7 stitches, otherwise the gap becomes too large and the desired effect can not be achieved.
In my example I use 5 stitches.

K over your sts (here k5).
Push all sts to the very tip of the needle. The working yarn is at the end of the row.
Bring the working yarn to the start of the row and k the first st. Pull tight so that there won't be a gap between the sts on the backside.
K the row as usual and push the sts back to the tip of the needle.
Repeat the process until your desired length is reached.
