Backward loop cast on
If you are knitting a garment, you may well need to loop on some stitches for your underarm. This means, for example, that you are joining a front piece with a back piece to join to the round, and this will require some new stitches under the arms. But you can use this technique not only for the underarm, it can be used in many different situations.
Looping on stitches is a very quick and easy way to cast on any number of stitches at the end of a row.
Follow along for the tutorial on how to do it.
