Help - My Sock Has A Hole In It!

A problem that I'm sure many of you have faced! You wear your knitted socks certainly also as lovingly, as I do with my own. So it's not surprising that maybe after a while a small hole can develop. Or you are as clumsy as I am and like to get stuck on various things - that's what happened to me with the following sock!

But just because a small hole has appeared in the sock, it does not mean that your knit is now ruined and can no longer be saved. Such a mishap can be quickly corrected again!

That's exactly what today's blog post is about. I'll show you how you can easily bring your favorite sock in need back to shape!

First of all, you need the right yarn. It would be best of course, if you happen to have some yarn left, with which you have knitted the sock. If this is not the case, simply pick one from other leftovers, which is similar in color to your sock. Or go straight for a contrast yarn - can work well too!

Once you've found your yarn, you'll need a darning needle and scissors. Cut a piece of yarn long enough for you to fasten and close the ripped part.

Then proceed as follows:

You see, there's really not much witchcraft involved in saving your sock! Of course, this technique can be applied to all knits, in which you may have a small hole.

By the way, my sock has been on my 'to do' list for quite a while now! Maybe you also have a similar project, which needs a little doctoring and is waiting for you. I hope to have given you a little impulse!

Do you also procrastinate such repair work or do you always directly go to work?
